Rendered Fits for handbags and accessories

Virtual Try-On for Handbag & Accessory Brands on Shopify

Bags are bought on scale and proportion: does it look too large for my frame, will it sit at the hip or the waist, does the strap drop where I want it? Dimensions in centimetres do not translate easily into how a bag looks worn, and a product photo on a plain background gives no sense of scale.

A bag is not a garment, and Rendered Fits' size recommendation is built for garments, so it is not the relevant function here. Try-on imagery is: a photo-based preview of how a style looks on the shopper. It is a visual preview, not a true-to-scale measurement, and does not establish physical fit, so keep dimensions and strap drop on the product page.

What to measure

Nothing here is a guaranteed result. Measure it on your own store before rolling it out wider.

How it works

Install Rendered Fits from the Shopify App Store and choose which products show the “Try it on” button from the app dashboard. Size chart data matters for garments; for bags, list dimensions and strap drop on the product page.

Try it on your own products

Start with a few bags in different sizes, such as a mini crossbody and a large tote, and compare scale-related returns on those against similar bags. Try-on images are a visual preview and do not establish physical fit.

Frequently asked questions

Does virtual try-on work for handbags and accessories?

Try-on imagery applies: it shows how a style looks on the shopper. Rendered Fits' size recommendation is built for garments and is not designed for bags. The image is a visual preview and does not establish physical fit or true scale.

Will it show how big a bag really is?

It gives a visual impression, not a measured one. Keep dimensions and strap drop on the product page so shoppers can check the numbers.

Do I need to re-shoot my handbag photos?

No. Rendered Fits works from your existing product images, so no new shoot, 3D asset or developer is required.
